Since it takes more than just one cast to hook a giant rooster, this rod has been designed for quick line pick up for the rapid fire casting sometimes necessary to get your fly out in front of the fish (hard hat not included). USE OF ROD: Great all around Blue Water rod. Excellent for 20-100 lb saltwater species like tarpon, dorado, sailfish, even small marlin. This rod is also excellent for larger inshore species requiring lightning fast casts and accuracy at distances, like roosterfish, baby tarpon, jacks and permit.
