FLY TYING HOOKS: DAIICHI 1260 BEAD HEAD NYMPH HOOK. The 1260 Daiichi is an excellent bead nymph hook. It is 2X long allowing that extra bit of room necessary to tie a bead head nymph with good proportions without crowding the rest of the pattern. The standard wire curved shank readily accepts beads and the straight eye makes for a perfect bead head tie. Very esthetically pleasing for bead head nymph patterns, but also is great for Stimulators, Hoppers, Adult Stonefly and other high floating patterns where the stout hook doesn't detract from the buoyancy of the hair wings and heavy hackling.
