This is the fly that started it all - and by all I mean Kaufmann's Stimulator. Randall did a great job and modified the colors and sizes of this pattern and turned it into one of the most popular trout fly patterns worldwide, but back in the old days we just fished the "Special" in Montana for monster browns, and nowadays folks are swinging it for steelhead, but it is still just a great, great fly - put some history in your fly box!
