The Golden Stonefly imitates the the large to medium-sizes golden stonefly nymphs. Fish them deep and dead drifted, especially in the spring. An excellent prospecting pattern when you aren't familiar with a river. Very popular as a dropper fly for West Coast steelhead fishing.
