The Lightning Bug is super effective in riffles, tailwaters or even still waters. They are perfect for the Czech nymphing techniques. Possibly originating in Oregon, they then migrated to Montana and has evolved into a very hot pattern. Very effective on selective, fished-over trout. Use it alone or as a dropper behind a Stimulator or a Grasshopper pattern. We tie it in sizes 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20. Carry a bunch of them!
