The Hare's Ear Nymph (also known as the Gold-Ribbed Hare's Ear) is tied with the buggy hairs and underfur from the ear and face area of the wild hare. This classic nymph pattern has been around for a long time, and just keeps getting better. An effective general imitation of mayfly nymphs, especially Baetis, stonefly nymphs, caddis larvae, freshwater shrimp, or any of a dozen other forms of trout food.
