Our favorite line! We love the way the Windcutter slashes through our tough Northwestern river canyon winds. The Rio Windcutter II fly line taper was designed especially for western rivers where accurate and delicate presentations are required in tough windy conditions. Accurate casts can be made with the WindCutter II with just the tip of the rod for a very tight loop and for windy conditions, or when distance is needed, the thick belly will fully load the butt section of modern graphite rods. The Super Flotation Tip with a welded loop acts as an indicator to detect subtle takes when fishing emergers, midges and small nymphs in the surface film and also facilitates quick leader changes. The patented Rio AgentX coating and XS Technology delivers smooth, easy casts in cold water trout fly fishing conditions, and the two-colored line shows the the optimum loading point of the fly line head. Bi-colored Sage/yellow fly lines show you the ideal pick up and loading point of the line.
